Dentistry 1 (Dealing with Patients, Tooth Wear and Oral Disease)

This one-day course offers an exciting introduction to the fascinating profession of dentistry. Dentistry is a rapidly evolving field of medicine, and one which can make profound changes to people’s everyday lives.

On this course, we will discover how dental professionals assess oral health and tooth wear using tooth notation systems, how to take an effective medical history and discuss problems and treatment options with patients. This event gives an insight into different disciplines within dentistry from the embryology of teeth (how they are made) to surgical interventions.

All of our online courses consist of small seminar groups, with lots of opportunities for discussion and debate with peers as well as learning from our expert tutors. This will be a fully live and interactive event, with summary notes and a certificate of attendance issued upon completion of the course.

This style of learning is an excellent preparation for further study, and should give participants a real taste of dentistry as an academic subject, enabling students to make a more informed choice about future study or career options.
